How to style on a budget

It's not that I don't believe in spending money on clothing but it's just so hard for me to justify spending lots of money on cool threads that aren't even my size. Thus a solution was formed.

I've always been a huge fan of thrift shopping. Some of my most favorite clothing are the little gems hanging on the rack at goodwill for just a few bucks. Although I will warn you, when shopping for finds whether for you or your model, YOU NEED TO BE PICKY!

Step 1..........Try not to buy because it's a good deal

I used to find myself with load of clothing feeling the need to buy simply because it was a deal I could not pass up. Boy was I wrong. Pretty soon I was up to my ears with so called "cool finds" that never gotten warn because instead of loving the clothing I bought because of the deal

Step 2..........Keep it simple

Most people when styling want to incorporate everything including the kitchen sink. While it may work for some looks, many distract from the overall message of the look.

Step 3..........Buy clothing that compliments what you already have at home

Many times I have my model bring a list of basic clothing and accessories including different types of pants, different bras and certain shoes. By purchasing clothing that is versatile which can be worn with different types of looks you can really make your dollar stretch!

My girl Heather Farnsworth killed it per usual on the design of Mila's nursery and my home office. She really does go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfection and all your expectations are met! Thank you again for creating and brining to life my dream nursery!

My whole attitude has changed since last week. Last week I was a crusty, tired, worn out soon to be mama. It wasn't that I was unappreciative of being pregnant. It was that I was more focused on my aches and pains that the actual journey.

This week brings a whole new attitude about where I'm at and where I'm going. It hit me like a ton of bricks that I am going to actually miss being pregnant. WTF?

I didn't think it was possible! But the more I thought about it the more I realized that I will miss feeling her with me all the time, kicking me, reminding me how excited I am to meet her and wondering what kind of a little human she will be.

I've got two weeks to soak it all in and even though I'm scared (out of my mind) about childbirth, I'm so excited for all the good that comes with it.

Baby girl has a name! I've always known her name even before we found out if she was a boy or a girl. I guess you could call it a mother's intuition.

We will be naming her Milan Rose Anderson, calling her "Mila" for short. We are both from Italian bloodlines so naturally we chose a name that would both suite our roots as well as our taste. I've always wanted to name my babies (cross your fingers there will be one more) after cities in Italy.

I just looked at our app today and I'm officially 36 weeks today! Sayyyyyyyy WHAT? I'm excited and scared all wrapped into one. I feel like there is something about getting closer to meeting baby that stirs up excitement and a large helping of bravery. The bravery party is of course the only thing carrying me to the finish line. That and I don't have a choice (laughing emoji insert here)

I'm sorry that photos have been a bit sparse lately. I know you other mama's feel me when I say it's really hard to find the motivation to take pics during the heaviest time in my pregnancy and quite frankly my life. I realize the reason for the 20lb weight gain however I'm certainly not standing in line to be America's Next Top Plus size model. I'm going to try really hard to take a few pics tho, before baby comes. If not just to look back and see the journey.
