3 Things I’ve started that has changed my life

I’ve been in a funk lately and I’m pretty sure I know why….

Seasonal depression always kicks my butt. I struggle with regular depression already so it make it that much worse during the winter months. I’ve been wanting to get a handle on things because I’m tired of always feeling this way, so I made up my mind to make simple changes to my workday.

Here’s what I’ve done:

  1. I put in one earbud in the morning while I get Mila up from bed to get her ready for school and make it a point to listen to a certain type of podcast including:

    • Gratitude podcast-The Daily Gratitude Minute- a one minute daily does to remind you to see the great things you have in your life already

    • Motivational podcast-Amy Porterfield or Jasmine Star have incredible business advise and keep my excited about business.

    • Manifestation podcast-Manifestation Babe keeps my mind headed in the right direction towards my biggest dreams and goals

  2. I go on a quick 30min (ish) walk to get some sunshine. I find that when my body is busy my mind can usually clear itself as well as start focusing on the tasks I need to get done. I do believe I have ADD and it’s something that I will always struggle with, I get overwhelmed SUPER easily and end up not getting much done because of the feeling of drowning in my “to-do” list. This really helps me a lot to find clarity on what I should focus on for the remainder of the day.

  3. DRINK WATER- simple right? No really. It’s easy to grab energy drinks and soda when you’re tired and overwhelmed. By taking care of a simple need like drinking more water I can focus so much better! It’s crazy how much water can help with body functions.

Even though there are a MILLION more things you can do these 3 things above have given me SUCH A RETURN on my quality of life. They are simple and yet SO EASY to start and maintain. I’ve hit all three key elements of health: MIND(walk), BODY(water), and SOUL(gratitute/uplifting podcasts).
