Ang is truly a gem and being around her is like soaking in 1,000 rays of sunshine all at once while sipping on a tasty mint mojito on the beach. She’s always kind to everyone around her and see’s the good in other women which can be hard to do unless your a confident person. I really try and be more like her in every way possible.
The last few days leading up to this shoot was rough, it meant dealing with one of her girls getting a last minute virus that made her skin break out in a red blotchy rash and the stress of that coupled with all the family events she had going on that week was a little overwhelming. We thought about cancelling the family shoot all together and go with the original plan of shooting her second eldest, Gwen for her baptism but I’m sure glad we decided to capture them all. What a dream family. I’m honored you asked me dear friend. xo
“We are a pretty easy going family who loves to laugh and have a great time. Brooke made having a group of six adults and four children (ages 4, 3, 2, and newborn) experience a great photo session. She is so good with the littles in making them feel a part of the experience and between the tears, the pouts, and the unexpected headstands on their part, the photos are perfect!. I am not particularly comfortable getting my picture taken and she made it so easy for me. Brooke is creative and natural in her ability and I highly recommend her for amazing photographs.”
Selfishly one of the big reasons I head down south to shoot each year is to soak up the warm sunny weather in Phoenix, AZ. Plus it’s a total excuse to see me gal pal Kara and her beautiful family! Hands downs favs! Kara, is one of the most genuine, no drama, easy, friendships I have and I have to appreciate a girl on my level. Nothing ever seems to get her upset and while we always try and spend more than just a few hours together for some girl time it’s always such a whirlwind of planning, shooting, and shopping that sometime we fall short. Someday we are going to get it together! Until then keep on keepin’ on.
Besides the fact that I just showed you pics of our dirty house, Easter 2018 was perfect! Mila seemed to love the endless amount of attention and goodies sent her way. She even got the hang of picking up easter eggs and putting them in her basket (at least for 2 minutes) until she was off to the next thing. She got so many sweet outfits, stuffed piggies and ducks, and even a huge bubble machine from aunts and uncles it made us so grateful for all the good people in our lives. I hope your easter was awesome and you got to spent with the ones you love! xo
